Child Trafficker Admits to Killing Hundreds of Girls

During an interview between the British investigative reporter Ross Kemp and a self-proclaimed child trafficker in India, the interviewee claims to have trafficked three or four thousand girls during his seven year ‘career’. He also claims responsibility for killing 400 or 500 girls who are buried somewhere in India.

As Kemp explains in the video, “He started his career as the bait in a honey trap, convincing young girls that he would marry them, and then quickly selling them off once he’d got them into the cities.”
Apparently over 75 traffickers now work for him, and he’s currently being investigated for over 25 different offenses. But he’s never been tried for any of his crimes.
The well-respected anti-trafficking organization Not For Sale posted the video along with this comment: “There are no words. Horrific 4-minutes…British journalist interviews trafficker from India. Why Not For Sale persists….”
This video raises awareness and shines a spotlight on the heinous industry that is child trafficking.
Kemp reassure, “We have it on reliable source — from more than one reliable source — that this man is what he says he is.
Child trafficking happens every day all over the world. Truth.
The International Labour Organization estimates that globally there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking. 68 percent of them are in forced labor of some kind, 26 percent are children and 55 percent are women and girls.
And as is the case in the video, often it’s girls from poor communities who are the targeted victims.
In case you’re wondering, the amount the trafficker in the video claims to fetch per girl comes out to around $132 in U.S. dollars. For a girl’s life. Some as young as 12 years old.
If the girls try to run away, or if there’s any trouble, then the girls are killed and buried. If our bribed police can’t handle it, it goes to the CID, then we kill the girls.”
CID refers to the Criminal Investigation DepartmentIn another video, Kemp meets with the well-respected anti-trafficking unit within CID in West Bengal. They are a whopping team of 13 people, sarcasm intended given that over 90 million people reside there.
That’s a lot of ground to cover for such a small team.
Resources are slim when it comes to combatting human trafficking in India and elsewhere in the world. Perhaps that helps explain why perpetrators like the one in the video are still trafficking, and even murdering, innocent young victims.
“If I’m having problems, I’ll have to carry on killing.”
Let those chilling words be our call to act.
Not For Sale claims that there are more than 30 million modern-day slaves, which is more than at any other point in history. The organization asks this important question about modern slavery: “How do you stop this before it happens in the first place?” Visit for ideas.
There are so many disturbing facts about human trafficking. Here are 10 of them. It happens all over the world, including in the U.S. where many of you live.
